Our Guest Designer ~ Tracie

Good Morning everyone!  I'd like to take a minute to say thank you to our DT gals who have helped me out so much this past week!  My daughter graduated high school last week and I was busy with her party so I wasn't around much and the DT gals have helped me out so much!
Our guest designer this week is Tracie C and her blog is Crafty Creations.  Be sure to stop by and visit her blog, she does such lovely work!  Thank you, Tracie for being our guest designer this week.  The card you made for our 'Animals' challenge is just adorable!  I love, love, love, the lasso!  That's so creative!  And your coloring is perfect too!

I am so excited to be chosen as the Guest Designer for “ABC” Challenges this week.  I have always lived in the Midwest and love all aspects of crafting.  I was in 4-H as a young girl and tried every craft out there from knitting, crocheting, tole painting and quilting.  I grew frustrated with how long it took to finish these projects.  I attended a card making class taught by a co-worker about 5 years ago and have been addicted ever since.  I love all the people I have met with this hobby.  I love going to crops, seminars, classes and meeting people who have the same interests.

I am currently teaching a few classes at Remember This Remember That in Gardner Kansas and love it.  The owners and manager are fantastic and great to work with.

I chose a Mo Manning image for this card.  The country girl in me loves any image with a cowgirl in it.  Thanks Patty for such great inspiration in ABC Challenges.
Thank you so much!  Remember, there's still time to play along with our challenge this week, the linky collection will remain open until Sunday 12 noon EST.  To enter your card in our challenge please see the post below.  Have a great day!

Our Guest Designer ~ Brenda

Our guest designer this week is Brenda!  Brenda made this amazing masculine card for our challenge this week.  If you would like to see Brenda's winning card you will find it here.

Brenda, the masculine card you made is so wonderful, I love the layout and the over all design!  The colors and mix of papers are just right.  Thank you so much for being our GD this week!  Be sure to take a moment to stop by Brenda's blog - Rose Blossom Legacies

I am Brenda, and it's an honor to share this card for ABC Challenges!  I love making masculine cards because they bring a challenge in themselves.  We like to create the pretty and fun, but don't always create a whole lot of cards for the men in our lives.  I am a full-time Close to My Heart consultant, so I am blessed to play with paper every single day.  I have been paper crafting for nearly 23 years, and it's truly such an enormous joy!  We live in beautiful Minnesota and take full advantage of enjoying the 10,000+ lakes!

Thank you so much!  Remember, there's still time to play along with our challenge this week, the linky collection will remain open until Sunday 12 noon EST.  To enter your card in our challenge please see the post below.  Have a great day!

Good morning everyone!  Our guest designer this week is Angela and she made a lovely baby card for our sketch challenge this week.  We hope you will come play along with us; this is a great sketch for some clean and simple cards too!
Angela, your baby card is just adorable!  The mix of papers you used is just perfect and the colors are so sweet!  I love the die cut circle, glitter, and button embellishment!  Thank you so much for being our GD this week!  Be sure to take a moment to stop by Angela's blog - Just Monkeying Around.

 Angela Pruisman
Just Monkeying Around...
Thank you for allowing me to be this week's guest designer...I was really excited when I received Patty's email invite!

Here's a little bit about me:  In addition to taking care of my family (husband, daughter (14) and son (12), along with 2 cats and a dog) I work full-time as an RN on an Orthopedic/Neurology unit, and part time as an Origami Owl Independent Designer.  When I'm not working or driving the "Mom Taxi" I love to make cards!

I attended a SU! party when I was expecting my daughter; of course I was just planning to go and not buy anything.  Famous last words!  I was hooked from the beginning, and a humble beginning it was.  I started with black ink, paper (not CS) and colored with crayons...yes, really!  I cringe when I think of those early creations!  15 years later I am still stamping and loving it...it's such a great way to relax and I enjoy the friendships I've made over the years.

The sketch this week is awesome...I'm sure I'll be using it again.  I hope you like my card; I did a bit of paper piecing, and added some glitter and a button for embellishment.

Thank you so much!  Remember, there's still time to play along with our challenge this week, the linky collection will remain open until Sunday 12 noon EST.  To enter your card in our challenge please see the post below.  Have a great day!

Our Guest Designer~ Jennifer H.

Good Morning!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and thanks for visiting our challenge blog!  I wanted to take a moment to send our thoughts and prayers to everyone in Moore Oklahoma who has been affected by the devastating tornado.

Our guest designer this week is Jennifer and she made this gorgeous card for our 'Stamped Backgrounds' challenge.   The flowers on her card are just amazing and I love the beautiful colors and the pretty butterfies and die cuts; love that sentiment too!  Thank you so much, Jennifer!

You can see Jennifer's winning card here and please take a moment to visit her blog - Cards, Scraps, and Other "Junk"!

Hello everyone, I'm Jennifer and I am thrilled to be chosen as this week's GD. Thank you Patty.
I live in Australia, and will have been married to my best friend for 41 years in July. I love animals, and am owned by quite a few of them. I have been a professional singer for most of my life, and art and craft have been great passions since I was a little girl. Although I occassionally dabble in scrapbooking, it is card making that I love most.

I used a resist technique for the backround of my very orange card (a colour I rarely use), and made my roses by cutting heavy parchment with Spellbinder dies, then colouring them with Distress and Adirondack inks.

Thank you so much!  Remember, there's still time to play along with our challenge this week, the linky collection will remain open until Sunday 12 noon EST.  To enter your card in our challenge please see the post below.  Have a great day!

Hi everyone!  We hope you are enjoying your week so far!  Our guest designer is Andrea and she made a beautiful anniversary card for our wedding and anniversary challenge this week.  That flower image is simply beautiful and colored so nicely and I am amazed and how awesome her sewing is!  Thank you so much, Andrea for making such a beautiful card!

 Andrea Whisman
Hello, I'm Andrea Whisman or you may recognize me as Andrea W when I enter card challenges. I've been married to my wonderful hubby for fifteen years. We met in college and have been inseparable ever since. For as long as I can remember I've always loved creating. I took several art and sewing classes in college for my major in Fashion Merchandising. My card making hobby started two years ago. I had invested a lot money in supplies for scrapbooking but I rarely used them. One day I needed a card and decided to make one myself and an addiction was born. My favorite techinque is embossing and I LOVE using twine. The rose on this Happy Anniversary card was stamped with black StazOn ink and then coloured using a Stampin' Up! blender pen and stampin' pads in Bravo Burgundy, Primrose Petals, Garden Green and Wild Wasabi. I love playing along at 'ABC' Challenges and I'm honored to be a Guest Designer. Thanks for the invite!!!

Thank you so much, Andrea!  Remember, there's still time to play along with our challenge this week, the linky collection will remain open until Sunday 12 noon EST.  To enter your card in our challenge please see the post below.  Have a great day!

I have been married to my best friend for 49 (50 in Nov.) years. We have 6 children, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.  I love crafting!  My grandmother taught me to embroider when I was 12 and I've tried lots of different crafts ever since. One day I decided I wanted to start a blog and while I was searching for a subject, I found card challenges. It's been an amazing journey!  I've learned so many new things but the best part is all the awesome, talented friends I have met who challenge me with their creativity!  Thank you, Patricia, for inviting me to join you as a GD!

Good Morning!  I can't believe it's Friday already and time for our weekly guest designer post.  This week's challenge is a something a little different.  All you need to do is to use 1, 2, and 3 of something on your cards.  Sounds like fun, right?  And there's still time to play along so we hope you'll come join us!

Our guest designer this week is Ivonne.  You can see Ivonne's winning card here.  Please take a moment to visit her blog - Our Life in Colors

Ivonne used 1 image, 2 papers, and 3 buttons on her card.   Isn't her card super cute?  I love the mix of papers she used and the adorable image is colored so perfectly, love the trio of buttons too!  Super card, Ivonne!

I am mother of a 17 years old beautiful young lady, who is the apple of my eyes.  We live in San Juan, Puerto Rico with our over affectionate Chihuahuas.  I work full time in an accounting firm as an Information Technology Specialist.  I’ve been crafting since I was a little girl, I’ve done macramé, cold porcelain, scrapbooking, mosaics and a few more.  I was introduced to card making by my best friend Kathya about two years ago when I went to visit her in Tampa and we did our first card together, I fell in love immediately.  We started our blog in October 2011 and our world got bigger immediately.  It’s amazing how a passion and a blog helps you make friends all over the world.  I am always learning new techniques, improving my coloring skills, trying new ways to color, new layouts, etc.  My favorite thing to do is coloring, especially with Copics, it’s my stress reliever, I looove it!
Thank you so much, Ivonne!  Remember, there's still time to play along with our challenge this week, the linky collection will remain open until Sunday 12 noon EST.  To enter your card in our challenge please see the post below.  Have a great day!

ABC Easter Challenge Reminder - Still Time to Join Us!

Hello everyone and happy Friday to each of you!  Can you believe that Easter is right around the corner already.  Oh my goodness how time flies!  I (Danielle) get the honor of sharing another card with you this week as a reminder that there is still time to play along with our Easter challenge. My sentiment is on the inside of my card rather than on the front because of all the flowers - but I think you can still tell that it has an Easter theme.

I hope that I've inspired you to join us for the Easter card challenge!  We already have so many amazing entries (wow!) - what a great showing of all that talent out there in Blogland.  It will not be an easy choice for the DT to make when it comes to selecting our winners!  If you  haven't joined us yet this week (or ever), now is a great time as you still have a few days to play along.  We'd love to visit you and see what you've shared with us :o).

The linky collection will remain open until Sunday 12 noon EST.  To enter your card in our challenge please see the post below.  Have a great day and a wonderful (and blessed) Easter!

My name is Tracey Murphy, I’m 44 and Mum to 3 gorgeous children and Nanny to 2 – soon to be 3 fabulous grandchildren!  I work in accounts by day and love to create in my spare time.  Over the years, I’ve had a go at different types of crafting, from cross stitch and sewing to scrapbooking and card making.  I recently fell upon digital stamps and now I’m completely hooked!  I find colouring so therapeutic – it’s where I get my quiet time!   I’m still in the early stages of learning the art of colouring and I find a lot of inspiration/tutorials via the net and from fabulous fellow bloggers!  I’m not quite sure what my style is ...... I just go with the flow and hope the outcome is as nice as it appears in my head, ha ha!!

Thank you so much, Tracey!  Remember, there's still time to play along with our challenge this week, the linky collection will remain open until Sunday 12 noon EST.  To enter your card in our challenge please see the post below.  Have a great day!

Hi!  I'm Patricia, and I am honored to have been chosen as the guest designer for this week's ABC Challenge!  All my life I've dabbled in some sort of crafts, but I first became addicted to stamping and card making about 12 years ago.  I'm fortunate to be on a couple of design teams and to have several past designer positions on my crafting resumé.  I love playing in challenges that stretch my creative abilities.  However, because most of my cards are donated to Operation Write Home so that our military men and women stationed overseas may write home to their loved ones, I tend to keep my cards in a style I call "clean and layered".  I don't use many big poofy or lumpy embellishments, but I don't mind having several layers of cardstock and/or designer paper on a card.

I live in Virginia's gorgeous Shenandoah Valley with my husband and two teenage sons.   I work as a substitute teacher at the elementary school my sons attended when they were young. The flexible hours allow me a lot of crafting time on my non-working days. It's a pretty wonderful life!

Thank you so much, Patricia!  Remember, there's still time to play along with our challenge this week, the linky collection will remain open until Sunday 12 noon EST.  To enter your card in our challenge please see the post below.  Have a great day!

Pat, I'm still speechless over the amazing card you made for us!  All of your details are just incredible!  I love the pretty flowers, the perfect bow, your sewing, and especially at how lovely your image is colored.  Beautifully done!  Please take a moment to visit her blog, click on her name below.

Thank you so much for having me as your GD this week. My first venture into paper crafting was scrapbooking but I soon moved on to card making.    I love to colour with my Copics, am obsessed with collecting paper and now it looks like dies as well!  Digital stamps are my favourite, mostly for their convenience.  My style is rather eclectic….one day I love CAS and the next I want to dump everything onto a card…depending on the image or the recipient.  I’ve been blogging for over a year now and am fortunate to be on some wonderful design teams, past and present.  I’m constantly inspired by the talented artists I meet every day. Hugs, Pat K.

Thank you so much, Pat!  Remember, there's still time to play along with our challenge this week, the linky collection will remain open until Sunday 12 noon EST.  To enter your card in our challenge please see the post below.  Have a great day!

Hi, I'm Donna, and I've been making cards for five years now. I started out making a scrapbook of our dog and ended up making cards. I also started up my own digital papers shop, and that's been going for 6 years now.

As with most crafters, I have a large collection of die, markers, papers, cardstock, flowers, embellishments. I love adding as much as I can to a card, the fuller the better. I love working with both digital and rubber stamps. I like the digital stamps for being able to resize them to what you want for a craft project, and I love the rubber stamps just for the fact I can collect them....lol

Eileen

I started making cards about 5 years ago and was really into decoupage and CD crafting, I even bought a Cricut Expression and about 40 cartridges (most of which have never been used). Last March I found Bev Rochester's blog and my life, and I do mean my life, changed.  I have always been crafty, knitting, crochet, cross stitiching, sewing.... but as a child I loved to colour.  When I discovered stamping it was as if I had found direction again. A few pounds later ( had to have ALL the Pro and Flex markers, and so many Spellbinders , Memory Box, Cheery Lynn, Marriane, Joy... and all the rest as well as enough stamps to keep me colouring for the next year) lots of trial and error and lots of practice I find I can now win competitions, serve on the Design Teams of two respected blogs and have a blog I enjoy. Thanks for taking the time to read this and good luck with your card making and challenges.

Thank you so much, Eileen!  Remember, there's still time to play along with our challenge this week, the linky collection will remain open until Sunday 12 noon EST.  To enter your card in our challenge please see the post below.  Have a great day!

One of our Design Team members also made an extra card for th is week's color challenge and I wanted to share her card with you as well.  Thank you, Ger for making another card for us this week, the butterfly is simply amazing and I like the panel shaped layer behind your butterlfy.
