Our Guest Designer ~ Anu

Hi everyone!  Our challenge this week isn't as big a turn out as we expected, but there's still time to play along and we hope you will join us.  You are welcome to pick any DT member's card and case it.  The possibilities are endless!  

Our guest designer this week is Anu Ray and she made this beautiful Christmas card for our challenge this week.  She cased Danielle's card (see below).  I love the layout and I haven't yet tried this technique, but it's a wonderful way to use  up some of your designer series paper scraps!

My name is Anu and I am delighted to be the guest designer this week. I am a SAHM with two beautiful children and an extremely generous and understanding ( he is going to read this...) husband. I have been a crafter for as long as I can remember and a number of unfinished projects of all kinds can attest to that. I started making cards a few years ago and it has been a great hobby and an even greater stress reliever as we relocated to Japan a few months ago. For this challenge, I cased the card by DT Danielle in the ABC 49 challenge - Halloween . I changed the card from Halloween to Christmas while retaining the basic sunburst pattern. I had never tried making a sunburst card and I am glad to say it was sooooo...easy. I am sure there are many more of these in my future :)

My name is Mary W.  I work full time as an ID tech, both fingerprinting and identifying people who have been arrested.  I have been married for almost 30 years and we have 3 kids aged 28, 25 and 15.  I started crafting about 5 years ago when I got the baby Cricut as a Christmas gift.  I was hooked!  Since then I've gotten the Expression and the Silhouette Cameo.  I usually only have a chance to play with my toys one day a week - I wish it were more!!

Well I guess you must already know my name as my card making identity of annemade is a dead give away. I live on the Isle of Wight with my Border Collie called Kofi.  Yes - after Kofi Annan.  I'm a lucky girly who has inherited some very crafty genes, but sadly nothing that has made me so much money that I can give up my day job as a manager in the civil service.  As much as I enjoy my work, I would so love to craft all day.  Outside of work I can be found crafting or running around an agility ring with my dog.  Quite frankly there's very little time for anything else when you're creative - wouldn't you agree?

I am really enjoying our challenge this week because I love seeing how all of you are mixing up those papers and Brenda's card is a beautiful example of that.  I love the mix of papers on her card and especially how she created the notched out corners on the strips of paper along the bottom of her card, so very creative!

Hi everyone!   I live with my family in beautiful Colorado.  I picked up my first copic marker in mid 2010, and I'm now a self confessed addict of all things Copic (and paper too if I'm being hones). I'm fortunate now to be a full-time SAHM now and I definitely love creating and playing with paper, markers and stamps more than my previous real job!  I currently teach multiple Copic workshops/classes at my LSS and truly enjoy seeing the students become passionate about their coloring and discover what they are capable of creating.

Hi everyone, I'm having the great honour to be guest designing for the ABC challenges this week. My name is Marie but I almost everytime sign my cards "Cards by Mi". I live in Kalmar, Sweden and use crafting as my relief from pain and to get my mind sorted and relaxed, just like so many other of you out there. Crafting has been a big part all the time of my life. Getting sick and wasn't allowed to move around I spend my time playing with paper and pens, crochet needles, cross stitching and stuff like that. My granny thought me everything I needed to know and still to this day I always have her in my mind when I'm crafting. - Don't leave the back side sloppy was she always saying to me, refering to the back of my projects. So that's what I carry with me. I hope I will be able to spend many more years doing what I love creating and sharing my love of crafting here in the blogland.
